Hi Rebecca. I was looking over the certifications for library employees and it was unclear just who did the certifying. I am a new grad of a library program and saw that Wabasha Public Library was looking, as a qualification, for Minnesota Library Certification. This is something new to me. Where does one find more information as the radio buttons on the site don't seem to work for me.
Hi,
MN Library Certification is for library employees who do not have an MLS or MLIS degree.
Click on the words of the menu items, rather than the radio buttons, and you will go to the various parts of the Certification Web Site.
The Certification Oversight Committee Members do the Certifying.
If you have a MLS or MLIS, I would advise you take "What is Library Service Day 1 and Day 2" and do the homework as this gives a good overview of library service in Minnesota.
Rebecca
